I would say that Democrats care about empowerment simply because they believe the republicans do not serve there interests. In fact many believe that the republican party serves only corporate interests.

Abortion, gun control school choice, It all will stay the same therefore why vote on it. Look at W's supreme court appointees, all corporate elites who will take away the rights of normal citizens and give rights to corporations.

Politics is power, who you vote for shows your interest in who has it. Democrats just want the power to be with citizens and unfortunately the Dem's are the closest to it.

by the way,Tax and spend is better than spend and not tax (as the dollar is at record lows, and our economy is and our future is held by Beijing)
