i'm a 19 year old college freshman. im commuting to school, so im not at college parties every weekend. the thing is, im not a big partier anyway. im spend most nights during the weekend at home, i dont mind hanging around with family. my friends on the other hand always wanna go out. sometimes i make excuses if i dont wanna do anything.

is this ok?

let me know if you need any additional information

its OK not to want to hang out, lots of people are homebodies, and in a way its a lot healthier and safer than going out and partying, just do what you feel and dont let anyone tell you otherwise

Sure, the definition of a healthy social lifestyle is to interact with other people and build relationships. As long as you can have someone to support you whenever you need it, comfort, etc. As far as I can tell, you do have friends, and you have a healthy relationship with your family. I also prefer to stay at home at times instead of going out to some random party avoiding drunk guys. I run out of excuses though. Try not to avoid hanging out with your friends all the time though, because then you will stop getting invites, and maybe one day you actually feel like going out.

What you do is your own prerogative. Maybe you would prefer just relaxing with a couple of friends rather than going to a party. Just have fun!

There's nothing wrong with what you're doing. Everybody doesn't like the party scene. Just do what you enjoy.
