...and not the other game between the red-hot 87-point first-place Sabres and strong contender Senators that is playing right now?

Does the CBC like openly pushing a lame team (the Leafs) that hasn't won a Cup in 40 years? Do they think that continually promoting that team will make them better? It hasn't worked for two generations now...

And the Sabres and Sens have won how many cups in those same 40 years?? We all know Hockey Night in Canada might as well be Hockey night on Toronto. Bob Cole is a homer. To be fair, more Sens games are telivised where I live (east coast) than Leaf games (sportsnet).
You are just upset that it is a hyped game you are missing.

Come on. The Leafs have always been the official team of Hockey Night In Canada. The Habs are their default backup and they've already played today...

Good 1st period in Ottawa. Tallinder and Spezza have tallied. 1-1 going into the 2nd.

Ratings. More people want to watch the Leafs than watch the Sens. At least in Canada.

That's what happens when one team is from a small city and another team is from a much bigger city.

not here in Ottawa, we are watching the Sabres get spanked..(I and their "tough" guys get spanked.....CBC thinks the center of the Universe is Toronto and that is what the majority of Canadians would want to see...they are basically full of crap
