You. The word is Y-O-U, not u.

So I would start with basic English and grammer.

You will probably need to major in journalism and take some classes in the journalism department related to photography.

Because every university's program is different, I recommend emailing a few professors at the university you are planning to attend (or maybe just one that has an impressive or well-known photojournalism program) and ask him/her. I work at a university and I know that professors are always willing to answer questions, especially from some one interested in their program.

You could also email a photojournalist that you particularly admire. She could tell you about what she did to earn her degree and will have some hands-on advice to give you about working in the real world. Also, you would begin making contacts that could be useful for later in your career.

Good luck!
