I am not familiar with this word in the context you mentioned, but from Greek myth.

Here's how my myth professor pronounced it:

Ka-doo-see-us

The first "c" is not soft, but the hard "c" sound, like at the beginning of "cake." The last syllabus is like the first person pronoun, "us," as in "She gave US the cake."
