Were you in it? If so you didn't have your seat-belt on or it was too loose. If you were the cargo then you were not tied down properly. This is the drivers responsibility so see a lawyer if this is the case.

If you weren't in it then maybe you got hit by it and due to momentum you are still moving. You might have been in another vehicle in which case the truck stopping would have no effect on the vehicle you were in, this is perfectly normal.
