thats a good question; with two points
1) have not been to court in 17 years- child support isnt even handled the same way today. it goes by both parents incomes today... and parents get a "cost of living increase" review every 2-4 years (depending upon the state)... so your child support payment WOULD be more.
2) wage amount is different now- yes, any changes in income you can request a hearing from your child support caseworker. in your case, you would more then likely be paying more (A LOT more today).

but check anyway.... on these child support calculators. just click on your state and fill it in. this will give you a general idea as to the amount that will be ordered.

better sit down first.

on a personal note; your ex has been quite kind not to push this issue (and is probably aware of it). with todays laws, she is even entitled to ask for interest on the arrears (if any), and increases ever couple of years.

Check with Florida Laws. In Canada they go retro active from the time you got the raise! Scary but true!

You may have shot yourself in the foot by not increasing the payments yourself when you had the increases of wage over the years.

Good Luck..

You're probably better off not going if you don't want to pay more, HOWEVER this is your child we are talking about here and you should gladly be paying to help support them while they grow up. Be responsible, be a man.

Most likely but it would be for a limited time due to her turning of age I would imagine if a judge would even go for that so close to being of age to take care of herself, but any good daddy already gives more then he is suppossed to anyway, right?
