When my DSL is hooked up directly to my computer it works just fine. I connect it up to my wireless router (with wireless card in my computer) and it works great for about 15 minutes and then it just stops. All the lights on everything are still on or blinking like they were before. When I plug back into the computer everything works again.... and the cycle goes again when I try the wireless again. I never had this problem with the cable modem and I'm tired of being bound by wires!!!
Any advice is appreciated ;o)

Thanks,
Adriene

Wow, that is really strange. I would try contacting the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.

You could also try uninstalling/reinstalling your wireless card.
Right-click MyComputer > Manage > Device manager > expand the Network adapters > right-click on the wireless and choose uninstall > Then right-click Network Adapeters and choose Scan for hardware changes. (it will reinstall)

firstly i like to tell u all is, in Networking DISTANCE between 1 instrument to another instrument plays the major role. May be ur DSL ppl bring da connection from enough distance whatever the instruments they are using to share da connection. So, when u are plugging the connection the packets starting their flow, but later when the instrument trying to carry packets from 2nd instrument, then the packets getting fail. Please contact to DSL ppl and confirm about this issue.

Yes it can, but DSL providers like you to use their equipment. Sometimes there is communication issues. They can be resolved easily, but my personal geeks do it for me. You can either call your provider for a wireless router, or you can call a geek to do it for you.

to try reset your router, i think it's your security settings is the cause. did you enable your WPA/WPA2 ? if you do, then you should match your wireless card with the same passkey you set in the router.

Call the geek squad. They set up my wireless equipment and I haven't had any problems.
