I want to make a paper mache mask fit perfectly to my face, and I was thinking perhaps a mold would work best!

Yes, cover you face with plastic wrap, breathing holes in nose and mouth, use straw and make plaster of Paris mold to fit

The best way to make a mask is go to the craft store or the pharmacy (same product), you may want to ask for help when you get there. You want to ask for the product they use to make cast to set a broken arm (trust me, they will know). It is a bandage soaked in plaster of Paris. Before you apply it to your face, apply loads of Vaseline all over including your hairline especially if you have long facial hair. Remove the plaster before it drys. It makes a perfect mold then you can add paper mache if you wish but it is not necessary.
