Dude, don't get me wrong....I like The Indians chances this year. They have a better club than last year, and are certainly a force to be reckoned with.
However, with that said, Minnesota & Detroit are just as good (if not better). Even though The Twins are without the services of Liriano all season (and Brad Radke) they still find ways to win.
The Tigers added Gary Sheffield, and I expect that line-up to simply explode. PLus The Tigers have some pretty decent pitching. They just have to fins ways to actually throw the ball to the right base without throwing it away (note: humor).
I see Cleveland, Minnesota, and Detroit all in the mix this year.
Whomever doesnt win the divison should take the wild card.
and the whinny sux? Ha! You must be joking.
Yes, the whinny sux do have a good team and will be in the mix (at least for a short while) but I doubt they have what it takes to be winners again. whinny sux fans will soon find out that 2005 was a fluke for them.

Without all the BS you'll probably get from a few "homers", it's very clear to those with superior baseball knowledge. The Tigers will win the AL Central for two every important reasons. One, they are the best team in the division. Two, they will not let any other team back door them like the Twins did last season. They learned a very big lesson from that and it will not be repeated.
The wild card will come out of the AL East. The Yankees will win the division and the Blue Jays will capture the wild card.

I like Detroit. They have one of the strongest teams in the AL. The Twins had a great year last year, and probably deserved the division because the Tigers couldn't play well at all in the last 30 games of the season. But the Twins don't have Liriano this year, and Santana can't pitch every day. Mauer will still have a good year, but I don't think he can bat .350 every year either. The Sox will take second, barely, from the Twins. Cleveland will also be improved this year, and, well, how the Royals not win a couple more games this year.

The Tigers have 5 video games left against the Twins, 4 of them at abode. thinking how properly they have performed at abode (40 8-26 as detrimental to 30-40 4 on the line) they're going to nonetheless in all probability win the branch. whether, the Tigers have a song checklist of vulnerable Septembers. Even in 2006, whilst they went to the international sequence, they choked in September and lost the AL crucial call (to the Twins). They ended up going to the playoffs because of the fact the wildcard. In 2007, the Tigers have been in first place for most of the summer season, and then diminished down the stretch. So we could be seeing yet another vulnerable September from the Tigers.

Im picking Cleveland ina wild and tight race. They have improved their bull pen and shored up their defense with Barfield. They have powerful bats and Grady Sizemore is just going to get better. Detroit is good, Minnesota is good and so is the Chisox, but 93 wins for the tribe in 05 wasnt a fluke. I see the top 4 teams with 84+ wins this year. Its kinda a shame that 4 of the 6 best AL teams are in one division....and KC has to play all these guys a lot lol.

Got to go with the Indians. I think they fixed their big problems with their bull pen that accounted for most of the losses last year. In the off season that was their #1 focus and a few postion players but look for the tribe to shake off the '06 dirt and be crowned the 2007 AL Central Champs.

I think the Twins would be the favorites to win yet another Central Division title. They always find a way to get the job done.
However, look for Detroit to be strong in the Central once again this year. They most definitely are not a flash in the pan.
Cleveland may surprise; but all in all I think it's going to be the Twins once again this year.

The Royals are still in the Majors? Didnt they move them to AAA? Anyway, The Tigers win the divison in a tight race. I think this division can have three 90 win teams like the 2002 AL West. But I think Detroit pulls it off and redeems itself in the Series this year.
