I had sex 3 days before my period and a day before I was aspose to get my period. I was wondering if my period could be delayed because of it? In december I had sex the day I was aspose to get my period and at first I didnt know I was aspose to get my period that day, but when I looked at the calander I noticed it was the day I was aspose to get it. So I skipped all of december, and than had it when I should have in January. So I'm not sure if thats whats going to happen this time, or if it really can happen. HELP please?

your period can be delayed for all different reasons. I know for myself sometimes sex brings it on or delays it... also stress, exercise, etc can all make slight changes.. not weeks or anything though...just a couple of days give or take..

Good luck!

ok a few things could be happeneing
Perhaps your pregnant. Or your period is way off. I highly suggest taking a digital pregnancy test and seeing your GYN> A GYN can also induce a period with provera or prometrium if the pregnancy test come back negative. A digital pregnancy test is great. IT has typed words pregnant or not pregnant. There is no guessing about the colors of the strips or how many lines. Its easier and more accurate. There are a few things that can keep your period from coming. Pregnancy, stress, being athletic, if your a young girl it takes a few yrs to get a reg period, then there is PCOS poly cystic ovarian syndrome.

Many things can affect when your period starts, sex being one of them. Are you on Birth Control pills? This could affect it as well. But, you shouldnt be skipping an entire month of periods..... If you skipped December, had a period in January, and now have missed February's period, you may want to get a pregnancy test. Was January's period regular or was it a bit spotty? If it was spotty, DEFINITELY get the pregnancy test.

Sex can not delay a period unless you got pregnant. Vigorous sex just before your period can make it come earlier, but delays...........no.
