I laid new grass last year in my garden but the left hand side of my garden is sheltered ny a large conifer bush and has unfortunately not taken so I need to do it again . I obviously want is to take this time and need some good advice to make it a success

you wont ever get grass to grow within 2feet of a conifer ever, best time to lay turf october to march,best time to seed april to august, best bet take away conifer.

the conifer drinks a lot of water..so its probable its taking the moister out of the ground ..but allso change the type of seed you are using ..try canada grass seed ..very tough
