Chloe was created by the creators of Smallville to have a "Lois Lane" type of character, which at that time did not fit into their stories.

Since her created, DC has purchased rights to the character, and has made mention on several occasions that they will redo or create some origin of Clark that introduces Chloe into the Mythos. She has not appeared in any comic to date, and her only mention of sorts is Sullivan Place is the address of Lois and Clark in the comics.

I have seen som articles floating on the net asking why she was not included in the latest Crisis retool of continuity, but there has not been either a need, or time to introduce her, since in the Comics at most times even Lana is not a very major player.

No, unlike Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Pete Ross and others, Chloe Sullivan was created especially for the Smallville TV show, and she has not yet appeared in the comic books.

However, this is not to say there is no hope! The Joker’s girlfriend, Harley Quinn, originally appeared on the animated Batman show, and has since been incorporated into the comic book canon as an ongoing character. So, if it can happen to a bad girl, it can happen to a good girl, too!

She was created for the TV Show Smallville, but has never to my knowledge ever been mentioned in any previous incarnation.

However I have heard talk that she will be added to the comics soon.

The character as created and well played by Allison Mack is an amalgamation of of Lana and Lois from different times in Superman's 70 years.

The 'Chloe' of Smallville has more in common with the 'Lana Lang' depicted in 1993(Death and Life of Superman, AKA Doomsday arc) than does the 'Lana' of Smallville.

The character of Chloe Sullivan never materializes in the comic
books, but her name appeared in two issues. It seems that Chloe Sullivan is a cousin of Lois Lane.
