I have an online homework, the answer i put down was dinitrogen tetraoxide and it was wrong can anyone help me.

You are right...dinitrogen tetroxide. You didn't spell tetraoxide correctly (it's tetroxide) but if that's not it, then...

all i know is that the mixing of the 2 compounds is the process involved in making helium. have you ever used wikipedia. it is a free online encylopedia. just type wikipedia into youre search page. i just looked and just put in the words ( nitrogen oxygen ) on the same search and it came up with quite alot.
