The reason is that this word is a French derivative from (Bra)sierre, therefore it does not follow the English rules of countables/uncountables.

Bra. i think of it fairly is a contraction of Brassiere. I incredibly have many extra advantageous than a million Brassiere and so lots extra advantageous than a pair of pants, I incredibly have dozens of pants. Mine under no circumstances are available in pairs because of the fact I incredibly have basically one *rse. No comments approximately that one *being as great 2 or i'm going to sit down down on you with it.

do you get pairs of shirts? I don't think so. also sometimes a's are plural, just like in the word bacteria, though i doubt it goes for the word bra too. also, trousers and pants are basically the same thing so you should use a different example.

Cause if you were to add 'a pair' to the begining it would be somehting like, a pair of cups... or something... so maybe that's why it's called a bra... perhaps lol
