Rock that has some R & B mixed in. I guess I like a little bit of complexity.
I am not a fan of simplier styles of music like the Beatles, Ramones, Beach Boys. To me those bands sound like high school bands with expensive music equipment. And as far as the Beatles go, I have probably heard every song they have ever made, many times. I just don't see the talent.

Why = My son listens to them and I like it too.

relies upon on my temper my style is amazingly eclectic commencing from classical track, opera (enjoyed Maria Callas) jazz greats like Cleo Laine, great band, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox (in rock type to call yet some) Broadway musicals and R & B and heavy steel classics. i like to play and hear a style of issues.

I don't really have one particular favorite genre f music. I consider myself a well rounded person. I like rock, rap, hip-hop, R&B, country, gospel, classical, and im about to start listening to Opera

Dance/Techno/Club...
Techno bands? Nope, but techno artists? Yes, Lucas Prata,Cascada, etc.
Because it's energetic, I love dance, and I'm European. If you go to Europe most of the music you hear is Dance/Techno/Club. I remember when I went on vacation there, the beaches had insanely loud Dance/Techno/Club music :)
