Citizens Advice Bureau, will fill you in on the relevant civil legislation . You could try the company's Head Office, but get C.A.B. advice first.
Good Luck

Try this:
First, go to the local business directory and find out who the chief executive of the organisation is. Then, write to him/her by name. Not an e.mail, but a formal letter of complaint (The CAB can help). Then write a second letter to the store manager, enclose a copy of the letter to the chief executive and ask the store manager if he or she would like to add any comments before you send it, plus copies to The Glasgow Herald and Trading Standards. Finally, stand back as the manager's Y fronts do an impersonation of the starting grid at Silverstone.
Have fun (by the way, give my best to Pelican Blond when next you go past!)
ara' best

Call another store and ask for the number to either the district manager or the corporate office.

Why would you want to take the matter further when a swift left hook would ended the matter there and then? Or accidently 'redrop' the item on the service manager's head while he/she continues with their snide remarks.

In England we have the Trading Standards Agency, which has plenty of 'clout' when it comes to genuine disputes!
Try your telephone directory for their number. Give your friendly store a call and mention the TSA. It might produce results. Stand your ground!

Go back and demand to speak to someone in authority. Do not let this go, that is his / her plan. The customer is ALWAYS right, even in this day and age. Being from Paisley I know what your up against, but demand his head on a platter if you dont get satisfaction.

contact the head office and make a formal complaint or take it to the local newspaper, often the threat of the press works wonders.

District manager, if that doesn't work, news media.
you can also go to www.bbb.org to rate that company badly, it won't go anywhere but other people might steer clear of doing business with them in the future.
