Yes for the most part. I think all of us daydream and i don't see anything wrong with such. Sometimes answers to questions will just pop into my brain from seemingly out of the ether. Who can say what the mind is doing when its idle. The only problem with not being 'on task', school, work, or whatever is that if all you do is daydream then someone is going to notice a decrease in your productivity and you will get called to account for it.
