If you won an Oscar, who would you thank first?

I won an Oscar Mayer package of hot dogs once. I was thrilled to be the weiner. It was a real kick in the buns. I would like to win for best film short. I would keep it brief and thank all the little people, and stick it to those mental midgets who doubted me. It would dwarf anything I had done before.

Crazy as this might sound, I bet I could, but I'd probably decline it.

Given who that's been awarded to over the past twenty or so years.

I think it's worthless.

The funny part, is that the so called rebellious ' Method Actors' who disdain it, give evidence they actually want that little statue so badly, they'd wet their pants.

Hipocrisy.

Like groups who want to be perceived as ' with it ' or ' relevant '. Total conformists and cogs.

You don't need a statue or a bunch of other people to tell you your competence level at whatever field you work at.

I like the ending in ' The Paper Chase ' - the guy gets his grade, never opens the envelope, smiles, and tosses the envelope into the ocean.

That's confidence. It's own reward.
