Probably because most of the artists who draw him have been right handed, and so Superman is right handed as well. And, if you try it you will see, to show him in a pose with his right hand held out as he flies (to sort of ‘steer’) or his right fist out (to deliver a jab before his left cross), he will be stepping forward with his right foot so as he follows through on his step, he lands on his left foot.

In the Novel 'Its Superman' by Tom DeHaven Clark/Superman is a Lefty, so being his dominant side he uses it to land.
What are you basing this 'Q' on?
Comics? may be a drawing style from the old days and just carried on for tradition
Films? Lefty actors maybe.

He has to land on his left foot, because his right foot was broken when he was a boy. It was very tragic, his father was putting new shingles on the roof and because his son could fly, he made him help out. Long story short he was flying some roof tar up to his dad and his cape got caught on the gutter and he fell all the way down, tragically landing on his right foot and he is never again able to land on it.

He's really a lefty but he's accidentally picked up Kryptonite with his left hand that he uses his right more but his left is still his strong leg PS I totally made that up.

I am not sure, but I guess it just tells me that he is right handed. Making his left leg his strong leg. He probably takes off on his left leg as well.
