you're still very young and your parents are right!once you finished schooling, you'll see, your outlook in life will change!and there are still so many nice guys around...don't be too blind for love...but if u think, ur really meant for each other...go for that love.but just be sure he cares for you so much and you do both understand each other's culture, beliefs and traditions...take care and pray for God's guidance!!

Unfortunately, your problem with your parents is a common problem many immigrants have. Older parents bring with them their culture and ways that don't work well in their new country. And these immigrant parents make life difficult for their kids who must adapt and fit in so that they can have a good life like everybody else.

While you are less than 18 years of age and while you live with your parents, you don't have much choice but to do as your parents wish. Or else you will have big fights with your parents that you will probably loose anyway.

Your parents don't understand and don't believe in the culture of their new country. And if you want to adapt to your new country well, then I suggest that you wait until you turn 18 years of age. Then find a job and leave your parents. Only then you will be able to do as you wish and as you need.

Boyfriends and girlfriends come and go. Family sticks with you. Living with two very different cultures is never easy (you have to find your own balance between the two cultures) but trust me you'll reap more rewards if you meet your family half-way.

The key is not to start a family until you:
a) can even remotely afford it
b) have the right RESPONSIBLE man
c) are ready to keep that man even if you threw everything else away

If you can't answer yes to the guy you're dating seriously at 16, you are probably not in the right.
