I just bought a 60gb ps3 and I was wondering what definition it is when it's simply hooked up with the A/V cables not on an HDTV. There are HDTVs in my house but they are my parents and I can't use them until we move. Just wondering if it's 720p or 480p right off the bat.

480i or 480p depending on the set. Most likely 480i.

its not in HD, you have to hook it up with either the component video cables or the HDMI cables to make it high def. it is in standard 4:3 with the cables that come with it
