Of course Chile is a Hispanic nation.

They have a lot of European influence much like Argentina, that does not mean that they are not a Hispanic nation.

The term Hispanic comes from the Latin word for Iberia. When the Romans conquered Iberia they called it Hispalis, in time after the defeat of the Moors in Iberia the people's of the peninsula called themselves the Hispanioles (this in time evolved in to Españoles and Spanish) and their domain Hispaniola and their people Hispanic. Hence every territory that once was dominated by Spain is Hispanic.

As far as the Malvinas is concerned, Chile has never been and likely will never be a neighbor to be trusted by any nation.

Everybody does whatever is best for them.England took the islands by force and belong to them now. Like Argentina took what is now their country by force from the indians and belong to them now And I don't see Argentina giving back the land they took by force from Paraguay in the war when they had Brasil and Uruguay as allies. And that is the way it is.
