1) Don Shula 2) Vince Lombardi 3) Tom Landry 4) John Madden 5) Bill Parcells

Parcells gets the #5 slot for me because he has led EVERY team he's coached to the playoffs. He's a Super Bowl Champion, and he had the inevitable task of coaching Lawrence Taylor, a highly combustible player. Bellichek is a close 6th

Shanahan does not deserve tobe mentioned in the same breath as the names you put above, and you got to put Bill Parcells in the honorable mentions, so many assistant coaches can from the Bill Parcells camp. Including Belicheck, Payton. And Bill Walsh should be in the top 5, he invented the west offense, something every offense uses in some form or another today.

1. Lombardi- There is a reason they named the Championship trophy after him.

2. Bill Walsh- He has his own offense that is widely used, 20 years later.

3. Belichick- His system has won him every single championship. He puts average players into his system and wins.

4. Landry- Helped that he had great players, but still one of the best ever.

5. Joe Gibbs/Bill Parcels/Shula
