Goldie:
Your best step is to contact LearnDirect over the 'net, or go to your nearest centre and scan the course list, or get onto the Worktrain website. Either one should give you all the information you will need. However, for college level teaching, you will an accountancy qualification at Level 4 four plus PGCE or Cert Ed if not a graduate.
Good luck

Get your master degree in accounting or business. Do some internships like working for accounting firms. Sometimes, college will hire people with a bachelor degree at the associate level,(check with local junior colleges). Best Wishes!

You have to have at least a Master's degree, but most colleges are requiring a PhD.D. Also, you have to usually have some years of successful working experience in the field. Some colleges, especially private ones, make you complete research or write papers or have something published to even be considered for a position. Check with the colleges you are interested in teaching at, and see what their requirements are.

You should have one of the following three designations in order to be taken seriously plus a number of years of work experience.

Chartered Accountant
Certified General Accountant
Certified Management Accountant

Plus then some kind of teacher training.

I suppose you can teach with a masters but frankly all you have then is unapplied education that in my opionion wouldn't make for a very good teacher because you have never used what you learned.

For most schools, you'd need at least a master's degree in accounting to get a college-level teaching job.

Start with a minimum of a master's degree, with a major in the field you want to teach, or major in education with a minor in the teaching area. Many colleges also require a certain amount of experience in the field before allowing you to teach it.
