Yes, I have seen blue potatoes. They are blue (or purple) from the same powerful antioxidant that give blueberries their color.

Not blue ones, but in the Okinawa Prefecture of Japan they have a delicious purple sweet potato. It's white outside but purple inside and is sometimes sold in oriental markets in the U S as a "sugar yam".

No, I have not heard of blue potatoes, maybe they are blue because they were out in the cold too long. =)

Yeah.

They lose their color when cooked, though. So no blue french fries.
