The meaning of life, is to live your life to the fullest.

To learn, grow, experience, participate (or not) and (to try to) make this planet a better place.
To say, "I'm Bob's friend" and really sticking by Bob when he does need a friend.
To ponder (or not) laws and truths versus hypothesis and hyperbole.
To wonder if there is such a thing as "destiny"; and if there is such a thing, what's mine?

Your reference is a way of life, merely another path.

The better question would be:
Does this make my life meaningful?

I plan to do what I want to become, a writer or a publisher or an editor of books. If I am old and look back upon my life and see no enjoyment or accomplishment, I will think of it as a life wasted. I also dream of finding love though I am still young.

Yes and no... yes to the volunteering and the desire to help, no to the focus on the evils in the world. This world is a play of light and shade, and it is more skilful and more rewarding, in my experience, to walk in the light and shine a light that calls people over than to dwell on the negativity and grumble....or even agitate which at least is doing something about it.

You mentioned sexual abuse for example. I'm more attracted to helping abuse-givers to stop abusing than in attacking them for it. I'm more interested in helping abuse-takers to grow than to stay wounded, to be survivors not to be victims.
