Well, you're just not informed enough. If you're dumb, then you won't know how to post this question. An emo is a person who is "emotional". But, not just that, they feel like they should die or commit suicide. They dress in black and slit their wrists or throats, weird **** like that. It's like a suicidal gothic person in other words. They could also be going through a stage of depression, making the world look like a cold and lonely place that they should leave ASAP with either a stab in the chest or a silver one in the head, if you know what I mean.

emo is almost like a goth but not as dark. Emo is an abbreviation for "emotionally-driven Hardcore punk". It's also a type of music.

Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

Emo does not mean that you are gay!!! i am emo!!! i am perfectly normal. it is like a form of expression, emo is a strayed form of punk. Emo has nothing to do with being a loser or being depressed or anything like that. It is nothing near goth!!! Geez, you people and telling this girl that we "emo people" are gothic we are not!!! i listen to Fallout boy i am getting married (to an officer in the military "pretty ordinary if you ask me") and am not depressed. i do not cut myslef either. A FORM OF EXPRESSION that is what it is. like you go out and buy expensive makeup and pierce your ears is a form of expression. We are expressing more for our music instead. Does this mean that we cut ourselves and want to die? Hell no!!! Seriously come up with something better than that!!!!
