Go to Sephora or Rite Aid. You can go to Sephora and try on any product, and on your face, not just hand, for free! You get to try various brands and styles, and thousands of different products and colours. Also, this way, you can choose what you like, rather than having a sales clerk just trying to get you to buy as much as possible. Rite Aid has a make-up gaurentee, (I think all of them do, but check anyway) where you can buy make-up, take it home, and try it on. You can return it for full money back if you don't like it even if the product has already been open. I would recommend going to Sephora, seeing what colours you like, and then buying them at Rite Aid, since it's cheaper, and worry free!

Some brands, such as M.A.C., offer free take-home samples of some of their products. Most will allow you to try the products in store to help decide before you buy. Most of these brands & some stores, such as Walgreens or Walmart, guarantee their products & will allow you to return them if you are not satisfied with the results after one use.

Most department store make up counters will actually do your make up for free with their products. If you like the way your makeup looks, buy the products they used. Just remember to have them explain to you the correct way to apply each product. I love going to the MAC counter and getting my makeup done!

if you head into a large department store there are assistants that will actually make you over so to speak....so that way you get to try before you buy....otherwise just use the samples and place it on the back of your hand to give you an indication as to what that colour will look like on you.....

go to a department store like dillard's or macy's and sit down with a clinique rep. everything's usually completely free- just a better way to help you choose your products. i used clinique for a while but personally went with mary kay. it's harder to get ahold of their products but if you know a rep, you can get invited to a mary kay party and try out samples that way. my mom's best friend is a rep so it's easy to get what i need from her!

Hi, go to any priceline they have qualified cosmeticians to help and they can give you samples to take home and try of foundations. Most places that sell cosmetics have testers depending on the brand.
