i have purchased a new fob but the dealer did not have timetoprogram it today.

I suggest that you download & save the manual, but more importantly, READ it.

I certainly cannot believe that a dealer doesn't have "time" to program a remote. It takes less than 2 minutes! I've done it hundreds of times for my customers!
(Damn! you need a better salesperson! One more like me! LOL!)

Put the key in the ignition. While pressing the lock button on the fob, turn the key on and off several times(do not start the car) until the doors lock. When that happens, the key fob is programmed.

Turn the key off and on 4 times leaving the key in the on position, wait for doors to lock and unlock, press one button on the remote, wait for doors to lock and unlock, turn off key, then try it.
