Can they be in the closet all their lives? Yes, of course, however, such a choice is usually self defeating and leads to reckless action and despair. Better to live honestly, as intended by God, than to live in shame or desperation as bashers would us do.
Choose to live and through living drive the bashers apoplectic.

I believe that we could live in the closet our entire lives if we chose, but I can't say it would be a happy life.
I was pretty miserable when I was in the closet, constantly hiding who I really was. Now that I'm out, I've been in a long term relationship going on 8 years, and have never been happier. Sometimes life means having to take risks in order to be who you are and get what you really want, and coming out is sometimes one of those risks.
Why would you want to put yourself through such misery by staying in hiding all your life?

There are those who've been raised being taught that being gay is something to be ashamed of. And some of them ARE ashamed of who they are because of that. and the majority of those people I'm sure can never truly be happy. One of the many (too many to list) reasons I broke up with my ex was that not only was she in the closet, but she seemed to regress further into it the longer we were together. She even looked me in the face and said she wasn't a lesbian. Not too long before I met her, I was finally becoming comfortable with who I was, and was able to start coming out to people. And she wanted me to crawl back in the closet with her. But, I saw no way to be happy with myself, or with her, hiding in the closet. I am much happier out...and my family, friends and coworkers accept me for who I am.

I know for a fact that they can. My best friend in the world is a gay man but he comes from a Catholic Italian family & would not only lose his entire family but he would also lose his career that he's worked for over 30 years. He did what he thought he should & was married for over 20 years, happy no. But with me he doesn't have to pretend. We would actually argue over what guy is hotter. I moved so I no longer see him every day anymore but he's in my heart forever

I suppose they can but they will never experience true happiness or be sexually content...staying in the closet for their whole lives is a pretty intense pain i'd think...

Hopefully they will stay in the closet. It is neither natural nor moral to engage in any sexual activity with people of the same sex. And it is not a healthy lifestyle.

this one guy i know, he had a wife and a kid before he was gay. but i think you are born gay, i don't believe that you choose to be. so he was in the closet, that was why they got divorced. but they are still friends now, and he has a boyfriend and everything. it can't be easy.

Yes, if they are bisexual or just lying. The straight part of you is what you show and the gay part you leave behind. Plus vaginas are sexy and butt holes are gross, that is WHERE YOU POOP! SICK ! But i guess bisexual people have it made because they know what girls like.
