Hi! I'm basicially a gigantic fan of the HP book series( I also like the movies), now here is my question: In the upcoming movie, the OotP, they seem to be portraying H/L romance. Do you agree? I, myself am a fan of the ship, why I'm asking this question is the recent picture of Daniel Radcliffe and Evanna Lynch holding hands... So what do you think?
Note: H/L means Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood

hmm... julie that's book six (where Harry asks Luna to Slughorn's thing) -

This is interesting. Obviously you can't read too much into movie promo pix before the movie shoots, but here is my theory:

Harry is definitely into Cho in the movie (we all know they filmed that kiss scene!) however one of the things about Luna is that there is a hint that she may kind of like harry or Ron, and be covering it up in her sort of vague say anything that pops into her head way. So I wonder if the actress playing Luna had that in her mind, if it "worked" and the director picked up on it and pumped the subtext a little (meaning started to intentionally incorporate that level of suggestiveness in what he chose to film, how he set up the blocking, point of view, etc.)

The other idea is that it could simply be a representation of their closeness (as friends) after the key scene at the end where they bond over the reason they can both see the Thestrals.

I guess I'm not sure what, exactly, your question is. I think it is "do I agree that in OOTP that they are showing a romance between Harry and Luna?"

Well, yes of course. Harry asks Luns to go to Slughorn's "get-together" and she accepts. If it's significant in the book, why wouldn't it be in the movie?

I don' think they will ship H/L in OofP because we already know from the book he's still in love with Cho. I think once they deal with the H/C ship then they will start promoting Ginny since we know from the books that that is where his affections ultimately lie. I think Luna will end up with Neville.

I think the movie Luna is a lot prettier than she's portrayed in the books!

Edit: Didn't know that N/L had been debunked. Shame.

I don't think Harry and Luna are a match. But I do think there is some kind of link between them that I can't really explain.
I think Harry finds in Luna, something that he can't find in either Ron or Hermione. Luna is just a fantastic person.

I don't really think so. I mean this is the movie when Harry and Cho kiss. H/L isn't a bad ship but I doubt it will happen. Look at it this way, Harry and Hermione hug in POA and they aren't together. Holding hands isn't much different.

I don't think hes right for Luna. Ginny is better, because she has everything Harry needs in a girl.
