Iodine aqueous solutions are somewhat brownish.
Amylopectin is so branched that doesn't form coils and thus it doesn't form a complex with iodine. Thus the colour will be the brownish or whatever you'd like to call it as if there was only iodine in the solution.

Glycogen resembles amylose in structure and forms coils. Iodine gets within the coils forming a complex with glycogen. The colour of the complex is dark blue. (The colour is actually due to the poly-iodide chain that formes inside the polysaccharide coil, but you don't need so advanced details )
