Yes - it's human nature, but not necessarily a good thing....It's funny, because more than one person has said, "You were a cheerleader in high school, weren't you? Which is too, too funny because I was kind of an awkward geek at that time. For whatever reason, people whom I don't know so well seem to think that I'm probably high maintenance and prissy - which is funny considering what I do for a living......I'm a paramedic.

Anyway, don't let people's judging of you bother you. As long as YOU are okay with the TYPE of person you are and the life you are leading, don't worry what people think your appearance means.

Every time I step out side my front door people look at me like I am from Mars or something because I am bald, 6'3 with full sleeve tattoos and a pretty intense demeanour. A friend once told me that I always look like I want to kill and eat a baby!

So yeah I guess you could say that I get negatively judged by my appreance all the time which is really silly 'cos on the inside I am a goof ball, puppy dog but isn't that always just the way it goes??!

I have definitely been judged by my appearance. I have tatoos on both arms and on one calf and wear earrings. When I have on a shirt that shows my tatoos, people definitely treat me differently than when I'm in a button down shirt and khaki pants. It's funny to me because I have been in the same place and been treated totally different depending on how I'm dressed. I think most people judge others on looks as their first initial impression. I believe the old saying....never judge a book by it's cover.

Of course, everyone judges by appearance. So do I and so do you. I'm not talking about race either. People dress the way they want people to think of them.

Imagine walking into a professional job interview wearing dirty jeans and a Metallica T-shirt. Think that person might judge you?

Yes, both negatively and positively.

Yes, I have.
When I wear jeans & a t-shirt, and show my tattoos, I get an entirely different response than when I wear a suit and tie, and
I wear both pretty much on a daily basis.

yeah man.. im a fat boy.. ive learned to deal with it and currently have lost about 15-18lbs.. but i look lazy and im not, i dont look athletic but i am, i dont look like i can rock and or roll, but i can.. so i get the easy jobs, i get picked last, and nobody wants to sign a fat man rocker.. and someone once said i look mean but i really a sweetie pie... but people can think what they want.. i dont mind the easy jobs either.. getting picked last is a surprise to the person who didnt pick me first and when i strap on my guitar and start wailing i can make you cry with a slow song or rock your socks off... do what you do, dont let no one say that you cant.. because they say that i cant but i can.. hahaa..

Negatively...People can be cruel but I finally figured out that when people are pointing fingures..it usually means they just trying to take the attention off themselves because they know..they don't like themselves.
