Officially announced: Obama, Clinton, Biden, Kucinich, Edwards, Dodd and Gravel (who announced nearly a year ago). Vilsack has withdrawn already.
There are a couple of others who haven't announced but who might: Richardson of New Mexico and Wesley Clark, the retired general who made a run for the nomination last time.
Kerry was expected to try again, but his last misstep led his his formal announcement that he would not run. Gore has said previously that he wasn't running but hasn't denied it lately. Mark Warner was widely expected to run, but announced he wouldn't-- though I wonder if he wouldn't accept a "Draft Mark" campaign. Sharpton will probably make a run.
Anyway, there will be a lot of fallout along the way. Obama and Clinton are getting the most press right now because they're historically different: Hillary would be the first former first lady to run for the office in her own right; Obama is probably the strongest black candidate to ever make a run, plus he's a fresh new face and voice. Most of the others have held public office for some years or otherwise been in the public eye or else are considered such longshots that they aren't getting much attention (I confess I didn't know Gravel was running until I checked to see who had announced. I had thought that Richardson had, but it seems he stopped short of making it official.)
So, uh, yeah, I knew other people are running!

Yes. Not sure if you are "testing" us or if you would like to learn who the others are. The leading contenders (meaning, the media rates these the most likely to win) are currently:
Sen. Joseph Biden (Delaware)
Sen. Hillary Clinton (NY)
Sen. Chist Dodd (CT)
Former Sen. John Edwards (NC)
Former Sen. Mike Gravel (VA)
Congressman Dennis Kucinich (OH)
Sen. Barack Obama (Illinois)
Governor Bill Richardson (NM)
There are about another dozen or more who have either announced their candidacy or are expected to but haven't warranted the attention of the media yet.

Edwards , the sore loser in o4 is going to try it again. I guess he did not get enough punishment the first time. I have a feeling some one is going to come from the Democrats that is not on the radar right now because Hillary & Obama are going to knock each other out of the race I hope this keeps up so the republicans stayin the White house for another 4 years.

For me it rather is a tragic day in American historic previous as i do no longer think the recent president and the Democratic party will unite or restoration u . s . a .’s issues. in case you seem into it deep it became from previously the sub best loan got here out of the bill Clinton time. On national wellness. Take seem at Canada’s (national healthcare), persons are waiting YEARS to work out a DOCTER! do you prefer to attend a year to work out a physician in case you have shall we are saying, maximum cancers? And that is no longer unfastened it comes out of tax payers money and government run. As for McCain God bless him. The enjoying cards the place stacked against him. What the place they? Age , no longer solid looking, no longer a candy talker, Republican Bush historic previous, the worst economic equipment via fact the large melancholy of the Nineteen Thirties, and the on going conflict, so he had little or no risk to win. in case you think of Obama will take from the wealthy and supply it to the undesirable you reside in fable land. the wealthy will flow there money and investments out of u . s . a . alongside with huge employer and jobs. extra government means extra TAX to pay for each individual. Sorry i'm only complaining , yet I do care approximately u . s . a . and that i did vote. What ever happens it won't influence me lots as I definitely have moved out of the united states of a .And over here. the climate is powerful ,nutrition is clean and ample and existence variety is on the take it facet. on the plus facet with the recent president. could have the means to get extra unfastened money from the recent Democratic government.
