I've enjoyed The Name of The Rose, Ulysses, McX (A Romance of the Dour), The Intimate Paths of Raymond Khan and The Trick Is To Keep Breathing. The last three are by Scotish authors, so I might be biased there. The book that impressed me the most is probably Ulysses. It's one of the few books I've tried to read twice. i gave my copy away and then got another copy for myself.

Lolita by Nabokov.

It starts out as the story of what an obsessive man does to an enticing and willing child, and mysteriously becomes, or at least suggests, the story of what obsessive Man has done to an enticing and willing Earth.

And it was written over fifty years ago, before ecology was an issue.

I've got lots. I liked Animal farm, The hobbit and lord of the rings, Peter Pan, To kill a Mockingbird, His dark materials, all the Narnia stories, Fantastic mr. Fox and other Roald dahl stories. But I've got to say that I adored Beatix Potter stories, I loved reading about Peter Rabbit when I was younger- It was one of the first books I've ever read alone, and it was those stories that made me into a bookworm.

I've read extensively all my life and I can make cases for every single book I've read as to why they're worthwhile and likable.

However, the books I admire the most are the Harry Potter books. If I were to judge books just from a creativity stand-point J.K. Rowling's work would stand out. But I also enjoy the actual stories and find them very, very entertaining.

The book that changed my life is "An American Tragedy" by Theodore Dreiser.

Others that I have enjoyed over the years are Catcher in the Rye, Moby Dick, Les Miserables, and The Things They Carried.

You have to read a lot to find books that you enjoy. So keep reading.

I love the Alex Cross series of books by James patterson, i couldn't put them down and read all 10 in about 2 weeks. James Pattersons womens murder club collection is also very good. My all time favourite book is probably to kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee though.
