Although I was not around then, I'd love to see Hendrix on stage playing his Star Spangled Banner ending Woodstock. But that's small fries. I'd want to be around during the peace rallies, I'd want to stand down the national guard when they opened fire, I want to march to the white house for a cause many believe in but few have the guts to do anything about.

Those were different times for sure. People stood up for what they believed in. It was a peace, love, groovy world with almost 2 completely different societies living together. It was also a time of war and uncertainty in our country. Race riots, war riots....there were some bad things going on then and that's why the hippies did whatever they could to escape reality and live in their own "make love not war" world.

I would love to relive those days, but I think it would be better without all the drugs and the filth. Traveling over seas was good then.

What would I give to...? hmm--it was lots of fun & all... most of it I would do again; the one thing I would redo? probably less "free love"--make those guys work for it, dammit! lol ;D
