I'm a freshmen in college and i'm going with my friend to his senior prom. My problem is that i want to look nice and fit in with everyone else but i'm afraid of looking like i'm trying to be back in high school, so yeah i don't know but if anyone could give me advice on the dress, hair that kind of thing that would be great.

I actually did this my freshman year of college too.
Styles had not changed that much in that year between HS and college, so I bought the dress I liked and looked nice in. I had a woman who cut my hair every month or so, and I went to her for a style suggestion.

It was alot of fun to re-visit HS, but also made me glad I was in college!

Have fun!!

Wear a classic black dress. Wear your hair down, curled using a large barrel curler. As for make up go for the sophisticated smokey eye look, perhaps with a bit of shimmery silver eye shadow, light pink lips. Silver jewelry, chandelier earrings, and a simple necklace. Don't worry about looks too much, because then everyone will think that you ARE trying to hard to fit in. Just be you, act like you normally do. And use whatever wisdom you've gained during college to your advantage. If you conduct yourself in a mature fashion then you'll stand out from the other girls. Have fun!

God Bless!

it's tough, you want to be away from too young and frumpy. i think any simple, clean cut dress in any colour other than black, blue or brown would be fine, and just have your hair down a natural looking. i hope that would look ok, but at the end of the day you're going with a friend and will never see the seniors again, so just go to enjoy yourself!
