I know that there's a lot of momentum building up behind Forest Whitaker's performance in "The Last King of Scotland," but I just want to go on record as saying that Peter O' Toole's performance in "Venus" was, by FAR, the best performance I saw all year. It was off-the-scale brilliant, and absolutely fearless. I hope the academy does the right thing, and gives him the Oscar he so richly deserves.
