Why is it that the Chili Peppers win 4 GRAMMYS, and all that was talked about was the Dixie Chicks and Mary J. Blige "Dominating" The Grammys this year? Hey at least they won, right?

I'll tell you why. Mainstream America is so scared to death of ANYTHING that is not completely middle of the road and utterly mediocre because it means they might have to think about something that has a little bit of actual substance for a change. The Chilli Peppers represent that rebelious streak that scares the republicans, the ultra-right wing Christians, the spoon fed media that they try and ignore them as much as possible. As usual anything alternative/ rock/ metal is shunned from the spotlight when it comes to media events like the crappy Grammys because as a nation we are treated like 6 years olds who don't and shouldn't know any better. F*ck the Grammys and the Oscars, the Tony Awards, Golden Globes...all of those stupid popularity contests...'cos that's all they are. It has f*ck all to do with talent and everything to do with pushing sales and making money for the Record/ Movie companies....period. Just because something is really popular DOES NOT mean it is good and that is a FACT, not an opinion, a FACT. Everything revolves around money and it is disgusting.
If you like the Chilli Peppers, regardsless if they won 10 hgrammy or none good for you and well done for not falling into that trap of thinking everything E Entertainment News and Acess Hollywood says is actually important...or even true.
The Dixie Chicks....come on! Seriously...are they f*cking kidding. Three monosyllabic, red neck, walking blow jobs who happen to say something bad about George W. one night and all of a sudden they are winning Grammys....i don't think so! What a hyped up media stunt that one was! Rubbish...just utter RUBBISH!

because all this other crap is dominating vh1 and mtv and thats what stupid follwers go by!nobody appreciates good music anymore! didint you hear what the drummer said kids please start some ROCK bands!no kidding when are we gonna have a turn and finally have some good music be popular agian i've been waiting since the late 90's for gods sake!!!sorry for venting but it's true ..right?
