People often say, "The opposite of love is not Hate, but Indifference." Well, so what? Indifference does not hurt people, it just allows them to be hurt. It always ALLOWS...never DOES. So again, which would hurt you more, an Indifferent person who doesn't care, or a Hateful person who wants to hurt you? I ask this because the quote I typed up there carries an ambiguous message of these three basic human qualities.

It's true that the hateful person sets the ball in motion but indifference allows it to snowball. The hateful person can hurt as many people as often as he likes if people are indifferent but if people act than he can't cause hurt for as long. Indifference also gives the illusion of acceptance and approval for the hateful actions which allows others who may feel as mean to join in thus spreading the misery even farther. Acting out love is what it takes to stop this.

Indifference. Actions of hate have motivation. Even if you don't agree with the motivation you can understand why. Some actions of hate have made the world better. People marching for freedom because they hate oppression for example. Indifference is far worse for two reasons. It gives tacit approval for the wrongs of the world. If we say nothing and allow something bad to occur then eventually it becomes an acceptable outcome. We are one step from being desensitized to violence. It also inhibits improvement of the situations at hand. That's why I say apathy is far worse than hate.

There is a fine land between love and hate. People hurt people because people don't thank before the speech. Some people find that's the way they can get their way family is the worst. So when someone that don't know you tell you something you can believe it Most of the time.
