Dogs Skinned Alive For Fur On Coats?
In my local newspaper today it states that the humane society of the U.S. said it purchased coats from Nordstrom, Andrew Marc, Tommy H and more and found that they were trimmed with fur from domestic dogs. Even though the fur was avertized as fake. Most comes from China although the racoon dog fur comes from Finland. The raccoon dogs (These look like oversized, fluffy raccoons) are killed routinely by stomping them, beating them, or skinning them alive. Video posted on the internet from Swiss Animal Protection shows dogs clubbed or slammed on the ground some writhing, gasping and blinking as they are skinned alive. Besides buying NOTHING with anything that even closely resembles fur what else can we do? There must be something that we can do.

Aren't people wonderful? That is so lousy. What people do to innocent animals is so horrible. I hate hearing stuff like this. I think an animal rights organization should do something about this cruel thing. I think the idiots that do this kind of thing to animals should also have the same exact thing done to them so they know what it is like to be skinned alive.

I just didn't want to open your question because I am a huge animal lover and now I did and that is just wrong. I do hope something gets done about it. I would never ever wear any fur ever.

Scary, huh? Fashion industry also exploits children all over Asia, kids work in sweatshops for pennies, if anything. You can join PETA or other activist groups and do what you can do. It's not an easy fight, since fashion designers have tons of money. You should also stop listening (if you liten to them at all) to dirty rappers-turn-designers like Poop Diddy and Jay-Z, they promote such treatment of children and animals (now they claim they knew nothing of it, of course - but they started off as criminals and drug dealers). And tell anyone you know.

That is just terrible. Before you know it, they will prick the feathers of a falcon and make it into a hat.

That is horrible. I'm going to look into it. That is cruel. It reminds me of them killing seals for their fur. It's brutal. Thank you for enlightening us. ~~~~

Okay...I like animals too. But, I don't see the problem. Animals are use for food, shelter, and clothing. I like to help animals too but I' am not a fanatic about it. I just don't buy clothing that use fur, problem solved. Everybody has the right to wear what they want.
