Yes but its human beings that made religion, and its not the meaning of religion that is the problem, its mans greed, his need to control others, stop that and we would live peacefully, and doing away with religion would not solve the problem because man would just have something else in its place

If religion never existed that would be a good thing. Peace is an illusion, humans fight about anything and everything. So quite whining and get started you do not want to be thought of as strange do you?

yes it would religion is the start of most wars, however without religion fanatics would probably find something else to follow to start wars like football hooligans using football as a tool for violance. to me it seems unbelivable that in this day and age with all the scientific proof that people still believe in a god.

If we wanted to live peacefully we wouldn't have invented mythological warrior and vengeful gods in the first place.

Anything is a possible and good question you posted.
I feel the same way but when asked a pastor he said these words:
"It's like law and order. We go to church to keep on the straight and narrow road."
Kind of same question would apply to this on that you asked.-
What if we didn't have police to help us out and all tend to our own policing?
We need law and order like serve and protect! To keep peace and one /s safety.

They both are both the roots to our fruit tree's.
Without the fruit we fruitless. Bare!

Have a good day

If people would follow and understand their own religions the world would be a great place. Unfortunately people take what they believe and dement it because they don't understand it and use it as an excuse to be stupid.

yes... and no.....i think we should all be separate in our religions. I would be in the bunch of atheist that live side by side. i know it sounds like I'm a racist but i think people have to agree multi - cultural doesn't work. they keep blowing each other up and none of them want to listen to other person perspective. so I'm in for segregation....
