Yes it is fine to do this. If you start your new pill on the 1st day of your next period you will have contraceptive cover from this day on. Then of course go into the usual pattern of 21 on, 7 days off.

Your current symptoms should subside they are just due to hormone withdrawal.

In future you can phone NHS 24/direct at weekends for advise from a nurse/doctor direct.

I haven't had that kind of hormonal reaction to one, but most likely you can begin taking your pill as soon as you pick up your new scrip, monday? And at the same time call the doc to give them a heads up. If the doc wants you to start now then just start, he may want you to skip your cycle and re regulate.

By not continuing means it will not be safe to have unprotected sex - it is ok to wait but you must use other protection to avoid getting pregnant. The reason for your flushes etc. is the changing of pills - they are affecting your hormone balance.

Totally agree with the person above. These symptoms are pretty common for people changing or stopping pills. They play havoc with your hormones and stuff.

This does happen and you can not wait untill "next-time",ring up Monday and get this sorted,DON'T leave it an other month, your doctor didnt say to you "just leave it and take it when you want, did he."
No he changed you right a way,cos you needed to get it sorted,i dont know what was said so i can't advise you any more than what i have, good luck, and don't forget, ring Monday.

That's why its important to follow the MD's orders etc.I would use an alternate form of birth control, call your MD on Monday morning for further advice.Take care. SW RNP
