My Grandma's 90th birthday is coming up, and my family is having a huge celebration for her. We thought it would be nice to make a CD compilation of popular songs from those eras to give to her at her party. Anyone know of or remember some great artists and or songs? Thanks!

each technology has its equipment deal of greats. My mom became a youngster contained in the overdue 30s, and various names are remembered as greats: Sinatra, Goodman, Duke Ellington, Louis Prima and Glenn Miller. The 50s had chum Holly, Little Richard, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent. The latter 2 are forgotten right here contained in the states, yet that first wave of rock is the anchor. My father and mom hated my brother and me listening to Led Zep, Floyd, Deep crimson, J. Geils and Black Sabbath contained in the early 70s. Then my brother had to sneak his very own teen son Marilyn Manson CDs so his spouse does no longer explode. 40 years from now, we are going to pay attention some father and mom groaning concerning the crap their childrens like. at present, those father and mom are youth. Grin.

There are all kinds of great compilations grouped by decades and even years. You might look at the "Nipper's Greatest Hits" series named after the dog on the old RCA label ("His master's voice").

There is also a series called "Song that got us through WW2" that might hit an important time in her life.
