Chicago White Sox or Chicago Cubs?
My friend and I have to settle an arguement! haha! My boyfriend and I are for the Sox, while she and her boyfriend are for the Cubs! Help us settle this one! (we are settling it by who gets more answers)

it depends. I'm a die hard cubs fan because of where i was born on the north side.most people born on the north side are cubs fans
MOST people born an the south side of Chicago are sox fans.

by far the sox hasnt it been 99 years since the cubs have won a world series and werent they last in the national league come on every one said last year that the mets were gonna win it all because they had a good roster and spent a bunch of money they got to the championship series and lost also just look at what the yankees they have done for the past 4 or 5 years the sox are alot better
heres my predictions within the first 2 months
Mark Prior- out for the season
Kerry wood- out for the season
and everone else will suck like always and Zambrano will do the usual and just be an average pitcher like he always does sorry cubs fans its not the year start getting some young talent going because your players arent that good

That's a no brainer.
The Chicago Cubs are the #1 baseball team in Chicago.
The Cubs have MORE fans. Thier fans are loyal and more dedicated. Plus Cubs fans don't wish fans of the whinny sux to commit suicide (previous question asked).
The Chicago Cubs, are by far, much better than their southside crybaby neighbors, the whinny sux.
The White Sox (aka "whinny sux" because all they do is cry about The Cubs) are just a bunch of fair weather fans, and will soon found out that 2005 was a fluke for them.
p.s.:
if you notice all the pro "whinny sux" answers are all THUMBS DOWN! That speaks volumes.

First of all, Go Tribe! Why is an argument even needed in this particular argument. While every year the cubs go in with high expectations and dont even come close. The Sox and there crooked front office excede expectations and win championships. Until the cubs can sweep the pirates AA team on a consistant basis the sox will be the queens of the stinky city.

I have to say the White Soxs just because the Cubs are always dealing with injuries and the Whit Soxs just recently won a World Series.

This year the cubs are the better team because they have a healthy pitching staff with zambrano miller lilly prior and rich hill. They also pick up soriano who will put up big numbers and then u have lee, ramiriez, ,and barret that are all great hitters and the sox did not help their team out at all in the offseason so this year the cubs are trhe better team

The cubs just spent a crap load of money on their roster plus the white sox suck (insert clips of Johan Santana DESTROYING them here)

sox were good, but have too many question marks this year. injuries heading in, crazy manager.
whereas the cubs made a lot of good moves and seemed to step up in their division, so they are probably the favorite.
in a head to head match, it would be tough and could go either way depending on many things, but compared to their division and league, the cubs look much better.
