seems like some things in life are best left to the imagination.they dont need to be hashed and slashed,studied and dissected, categorized, and put on display for humans to ogle at (figuratively speaking).can you think of an example where science took the magic out of something?

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
That said, the more we understand, the less magic there is.
Science has taken the magic of fact when it comes to religion and replaced it with the reality of a metaphorical interpretation that can still serve a purpose for people that of faith.... if they would only let it rather than fight the inevitable.

First, I have to agree with sophist- it did take the magic out of magic.
Scientific recognition took the magic out of being surprised at that first snowfall... Something as a child we love and don't understand.. But as we get older we know the seasons come at certain times and about when the snow will first come. (i.e. science tells us how the weather patterns change)
Science took the magic out of many things, but it also has helped in many ways. Science and scientific studies have had both positive and negative results.
