It takes about an hour, but if u go in peak times it take a bit longer. Doing the speed limit it is about 45mins - 1 hour

When I was staying in Surfers, it took us around 30 to 40 minutes to drive to Brisbane. On the Saturday it was particularly busy and took us a bit over an hour.

Unless you have a problem with traffic you can do the trip in 45 minutes comfortably. If you have a hold up with the traffic it could take over an hour.
