i have a question about how the mitochondria in the muscle cells make you feel hot after activity and i really dont know and im not finding the information. anyone know? please and thank-you.

I think the basic answer is that only part of the energy released by oxidation of food molecules is trapped in the form of ATP. The rest of the energy is just released as heat. I'm sure you'll need more details for this assignment, but that might get you started.

in muscle activity, exergonic ATP hydrolysis is coupled to the exergonic 'cocking' of the myosin heads. the process of ATP hydrolysis releases free energy for the 'cocking' of the head as well as entropy which is heat energy...

Also, muscle activity stimulates the body to produce more ATP. In the ATP production, some energy is also lost as entropy --> heat energy
