Limewire is quite good for music and the program is not full of adware or spyware. (although files you download could have viruses in so be careful, this applies to any peer to peer programs.)
To use Limewire I recommend you also use a program called Peer guardian, available free, which helps to hide you from snoops from the music industry. Make sure you run the peer guardian first each time before you start up Limewire, turn off when not using Limewire as it can effect other apps accessing the internet.
